Lisa LaMagna, Founder and Principal
Lisa LaMagna is Principal at LaMagna + Associates, a business development and communications firm located in San Francisco, California. Lisa connects with company leaders as a strong resource and ally, pooling her leadership skills, experience and a network of professional resources to deliver results. She works with executives, helping them craft clear visions, plans, and tactics to forge revenue streams and control perceptions of their companies.
The solutions that Lisa guides clients to evaluate for their organizations do not rely on pre-set methodologies, applications, or industry precedence. She is talented in working with clients to solicit their holistic business goals, collaborating with them to search for the right pathways to results. Lisa’s clients express appreciation for her approach to business with unfettered thinking, while helping them cement intelligent decisions with her background in finance, corporate communications, investment banking, and business development.
Lisa offers company leaders impartial advisement, strategic oversight and partnering skills with an ability to develop and execute detailed plans that meet client objectives. Her shared accomplishments for companies range from go-to market strategies to managing critical public relations issues, coaching executives on public speaking, and implementing effective social media engagement.
Before founding LaMagna + Associates, Lisa co-founded a real estate company to develop a $10 million resort property in Costa Rica. She spearheaded the funding, branding, marketing and operational management of the development.
Lisa started her career in finance and worked in the capital markets division of Morgan Stanley & Company and Moran & Associates. She was appointed as Head of Media Industry M&A Research at Henry Ansbacher PLC in New York and London, where she developed clients’ positioning, financial valuations, and selling memoranda. After sharpening her financial acumen, her career transitioned to managing strategic investor relations and crisis communications programs for publicly traded companies at blue-chip agencies including Abernathy MacGregor Group, Robinson Lerer Montgomery, and Bozell Sawyer Miller Group.
Lisa studied finance at the State University of New York at Buffalo and Pace Universisty in New York City. She holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration and finance from State University of New York and a studied advanced finance at Pace University. She previously worked at the securities and payments departments of Banque Nationale de Paris and in the corporate finance department of Occidental Petroleum, where she created a database for tracking bond covenant compliance.
